There are two ways one can get these great apps without hacking or rooting and install apps bypass the country restrictions, they are explained below —. The trick here is to first open the website through a proxy of the country in which the app is available.

For example, if you want an app that is only available to US residents then first find a proxy site that can provide you a US based IP. Once you have located this proxy site open Google Play Store through it. This will show you all the apps that are available in the US.

If you are not willing to install a separate VPN app in order to install a region restricted app or game on your device, then you might be interested in knowing about this method. Using this method, you can just install any region restricted app that is unavailable in your country to your device, without having to install any third party VPN app. APK is basically an Android application package which is the format used by Android for the distribution of its apps.

Sometimes, the app manufacturers will officially make the APK file of their app available for download direct from their website. Click on a search result, follow the steps, and proceed to download the APK file for the app you want to install on your device. For instance, in this example, I have tried to download and install the Pandora Music app to my device, which as previously mentioned is not officially available in my country.

I agree, it was very weird and unexpected to get rejected, since there are already full fledged browsers approved for Android TV. Installed browser plugin and successfully installed Kodi on my Nexus Player. Nice alternative to always using ES. Why you needed to sideload it?????? Why would one sideload a plugin for a browser when presumably one could sideload the original app that had the browser included? Just seems like that would make more sense if already going the sideloading route? Any suggestions or tips on how to make this work for me?

Thanks again for all the great work you do with this site I have 3 Devices and the Shield and the software. The fix is to give the app file access permission. This can be done under the device settings or by uninstalling and then reinstalling the app and making sure to ALLOW permissions when asked.
