I enjo yed the beginning but could not progress as it wanted answers to questions that are only in the manual - the manual did not download with the game. The thing is, back then I had no idea that this was just a remake and I use that term very loosely of Dune 2 with very little changed to the core game.

As a result, while Dune is something many people love, this game is not seen as one of the high points of the series.

The game does have a story and if you have already played Dune 2 you will know what you are getting into. The House that prevails will be handed Dune and with that all the Spice they can handle, Spice being the most valuable commodity in the universe!

This is the role Paul will take - this is one of the goals of the game although many things are yet to come after you reach this.

In this plot of war and religion there is only one thing missing: a love-story - this is one of the few games featuring one - yeah, like I said once - we all need something for the heart sometimes - don't we? Merci pour cette charmante version.

I had no internet or walkthru back then, but I managed to finish the game on my own. Probably the first RPG-ish game I've played too. Well I hope the enhanced version, Dune CD, could be found here soon.

I don't know or can't find any official patch to the floppy version, I'm thinking it had only one release version. And probably DuneCD is of higher version number since it is an enhanced edition afterall.

Thanks, Chief. Tim 0 point DOS version. Actually, there is a high replayability, because you can attack the Harkonnen from different regions, with different results. Also you can use ecology or skip it altogether, and certain events may or may not take place depending on the pace you play at.

And Chani looks much better than Harrah, my opinion:P. It is quite a bit movie Lynch's movie from eighties like game. Re-play value is not high, there is more or less nothing new. If you never play - try. The only strange thing - Harrah looks better than Chani.
